Solgaleo is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in the seventh generation, in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Its English name is Solgaleo and its Japanese name is ソルガレオ. It embodies the solar star and plays a central role in the story of Pokémon Sun, representing light, power, and the dominance of day.

Solgaleo is a Psychic and Steel-type Pokémon, a rare and extremely effective combination in battle. This dual typing grants it excellent resistances, particularly against Normal, Grass, Ice, Dragon, Steel, and Psychic moves.
