About
My history with Pokémon
My name is Raks and I've been passionate about Pokémon since my earliest childhood years. My adventure really began with Pokémon Red, a game I literally played from morning to night. The universe grabbed me straight away: discovering the routes, building up the team, the strategic battles… everything fascinated me. I then went on to Pokémon Gold and Silver, two games that marked me for life and to which I devoted hundreds of hours.
Like many players of my generation, I was also deeply into the Pokémon cards. The trades in the schoolyard, the binders, the decks thrown together out of almost nothing… Pokémon shaped a whole part of my childhood, and that era forged the way I experience the franchise today.
A break… then an even stronger comeback
After my teenage years, I naturally took a long break from the games. For years, I didn't touch the franchise. It wasn't until much later that I came back to the Pokémon world with a different, more mature outlook, but with the same desire to explore everything.
My return started with Pokémon Sword and Shield, then I dived into Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond, Scarlet and Violet, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. I completed them all 100%, finishing everything that could be finished. I also completed my Pokédex on Pokémon HOME and I still play Pokémon GO from time to time.
Why I created Pokédexia
I've been a full-stack web developer for over 20 years. In my work, I've always put precision, clarity and reliability first. And as a player, I was often frustrated not to find a Pokémon site that combined those three qualities without aggressive advertising, without sloppy content and without persistent errors.
So I decided to create Pokédexia: a personal project blending my passion for Pokémon with my technical expertise. My goal is simple: to offer a modern, clean Pokédex where every entry is readable, reliable, verified and up to date.
I want to offer a site where you find clear, structured information that's easy to consult and, above all, rigorously verified. No rumours, no vague content, no "padded" text. Only accurate data, based on the games, official sources and my own experience.
How I write my entries and news
Every piece of content is checked manually. I rely on:
my personal experience with the games I've completed 100%;
official data (in-game Pokédex, official websites, game interfaces);
announcements from The Pokémon Company and Nintendo;
personal testing when mechanics need to be verified in-game;
my technical background to organise the data cleanly and avoid errors.
I never publish information I'm not sure about. If there's the slightest doubt, I check the official data or rephrase it to stay accurate.
What you'll find on the site
complete yet readable Pokémon entries;
verified stats and information;
analyses based on my experience as a player;
sourced, no-frills news;
an editorial line: clarity > quantity.
Pokédexia is a project I build on my own, out of passion, and I invest time in it every day to keep it growing.
