Golem, known in Japanese as ゴローニャ (Golonya), is a Rock and Ground type Pokémon greatly appreciated by players for its raw power and solid defensive role. In the Pokédex, it is the final evolution of Graveler, which itself comes from Geodude. As with many Pokémon in this family, evolution into Golem is achieved through trading, making it a Pokémon often obtained later in the adventure if a trading partner is not immediately available.

Its massive body made of extremely dense rock gives it an impressive base Defense and a good HP pool. Golem is particularly useful against Fire, Flying, and Rock Pokémon, and is an excellent counter to endurance-based teams. However, its weaknesses to Water, Grass, Ice, and the double Ground type require cautious play, especially in strategic content.

Its Alolan form, Rock and Electric type, offers an interesting alternative but has a different role. Players must choose which Golem to include based on their team's needs, particularly in competitive play or against Pokémon using Water or Ground attacks.
