Sobble is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in the eighth generation. It is known by its English name Sobble and its Japanese name メッソン. Originating from the Galar region, this starter Pokémon is offered at the beginning of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Sobble stands out for its timid temperament, its abundant tears, and its appearance as a small blue lizard capable of partially camouflaging itself.

Sobble evolves at level 16 into Drizzile, then reaches its final form Inteleon at level 35. This evolution greatly improves its stats, particularly its Speed and special offensive power, making it a much more effective Pokémon in the long run.

Its evolution is automatic and requires no special item, which makes progression easy throughout the main story of Sword and Shield.

Sobble's base stats are modest but balanced for a starter Pokémon. It has decent HP, low Attack, and a more interesting Special Attack to exploit its Water moves. Its Defense is limited, which calls for a degree of caution in battles.
