Overview of Regieleki
Regieleki is a Legendary Pokémon of the Electric type introduced in the eighth generation. Its English name is Regieleki and its Japanese name is レジエレキ. It is part of the duo of new ancient golems linked to the Regi family and stands out for its extreme Speed and its highly offensive role in competitive battles. Regieleki is primarily valued for its unique stats, which make it a formidable choice both in the main games and in the Trading Card Game.
Its body is composed almost entirely of condensed electrical energy, which explains its light frame and its ability to outspeed virtually every opponent. This Pokémon is often used to seize the initiative on the very first turn, apply immediate pressure, or eliminate key threats.
Stats and competitive profile
Regieleki's stats are quite unusual. Its Speed stat is among the highest ever recorded in a Pokémon, allowing it to move before almost everyone else, even at level 50. However, its HP and defenses are low, making it vulnerable to Ground type attacks and priority moves.
In battle, Regieleki is often used as a special sweeper or as a fast pivot. Thanks to its maximum Speed, it can force switches from the opponent and maintain control over the pace of the battle. Its decent Special Attack stat allows it to deal consistent damage, especially with Electric moves that benefit from the same-type attack bonus.
Moves and utility in battle
Regieleki has access to a wide range of Electric moves, reinforcing its offensive role. Immediate attacks are often chosen to maximize pressure right from the moment it enters play. Charged moves, for their part, offer excellent coverage against Water and Flying type Pokémon, which are very common in raids and competitive battles.
Its pure Electric typing is a double-edged sword. It offers few weaknesses, but a critical vulnerability to the Ground type. To compensate, players frequently pair it with partners capable of handling those threats or anticipating the opponent's moves.
Regieleki in Pokémon GO and raids
In Pokémon GO, Regieleki is available during specific events, particularly in raids. Its catch rate can be demanding, making it a coveted target for players looking to complete their Pokédex or optimize their Electric type team.
Thanks to its Speed and Attack oriented stats, Regieleki is used primarily as an attacker in raids, where it excels against bosses weak to the Electric type. The candy required to power it up to level 40 or level 50 demands a significant investment, but the gain in power is notable.
Pokémon cards and collector interest
Regieleki also exists as Pokémon cards, highly sought after by collectors. Ultra or alternative versions often highlight its overflowing energy and legendary status. These cards are appreciated both for their aesthetic value and their potential in competitive play.
In the card game, Regieleki is generally oriented toward fast and aggressive strategies, consistent with its identity in the video games. Some cards allow players to accelerate Energy or boost Electric attacks, making it an excellent choice in specialized decks.
Availability and overall appeal
Regieleki is a Pokémon available only during certain periods, which reinforces its appeal. Whether for gameplay, stats, raids, or Pokémon cards, it remains a reliable choice for players seeking a fast, effective, and emblematic Pokémon of the recent generation.
