General overview of Nymble
Nymble is a Bug/Dark-type Pokémon introduced in the Paldea region. Its Japanese name is エクスレッグ. It is the direct pre-evolution of Lokix, a small agile insect Pokémon that evolves into Lokix upon gaining enough levels. Nymble is listed in the Pokédex as a fast and offensive Pokémon, capable of dealing heavy damage while remaining relatively fragile on the defensive side.
Thanks to its dual type, Nymble has an interesting combat profile, with specific resistances and access to moves that are highly effective against many opposing types. It is available in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, where it can be encountered in the wild before evolving, or obtained by evolving earlier forms.
Type and general characteristics
Nymble has the Bug/Dark type, which directly influences its stats, weaknesses, and strengths in battle. This combination gives it excellent offensive pressure, particularly against Grass-, Psychic-, and Ghost-type opponents.
Its size is average for a Bug-type Pokémon, with a bipedal stance and legs adapted for fast and precise attacks. Its design evokes a fighter specialized in targeted strikes, which is reflected in its stats and playstyle.
Stats and HP
Nymble's stats are oriented toward Attack and Speed. Its HP is decent without being exceptional, making it vulnerable to powerful hits if it cannot act first. At high levels, particularly around level 50, its offensive potential becomes very interesting in strategic battles.
Nymble's Defense and Special Defense are below average, which calls for careful usage. It is often better to use it as a lead or a finisher, to maximize its damage output without leaving it exposed too long.
Moves and damage
Nymble has a wide selection of moves focused on its Bug and Dark typing. Among its most useful abilities, there are fast sting-based attacks ideal for exploiting its Speed and quickly weakening the opponent. Its moves can deal high damage, especially when they benefit from a type bonus.
It can also learn powerful physical attacks, making it a formidable option against fragile or unprepared targets. By optimizing its moveset, Nymble becomes very effective across many battles, whether in exploration or in strategic matchups.
Evolution and obtaining
Nymble evolves into Lokix. The evolution triggers through leveling up, with no specific item required. This evolution marks a clear jump in power, with a significant improvement in offensive stats and Speed.
Nymble is available fairly early in the adventure, which allows players to obtain Lokix quickly and easily integrate it into a balanced team. Once evolved, it remains relevant up to the maximum level, provided its moves and strategy are adapted accordingly.
Battle utility and additional information
In battle, Nymble excels in offensive roles. It is particularly effective against certain types thanks to its dual typing, but must watch out for its weaknesses, especially against Fire-, Flying-, and Rock-type attacks. Good anticipation is necessary to avoid super-effective hits.
In the Pokédex, Nymble is described as a precise and methodical Pokémon, capable of striking at the right moment. This information reinforces its identity as a fast and dangerous fighter, appreciated by players looking for an offensive and dynamic Pokémon.
