General Overview of Grafaiai
Grafaiai is a Poison and Normal type Pokémon introduced in the ninth generation with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Its French name is Tag-Tag and its Japanese name is タギングル. It is the direct evolution of Shroodle, making it an interesting Pokémon to track from the earliest levels of the adventure. Grafaiai is known for its combat style based on venom, direct attacks, and disrupting the opponent.
In the Pokédex, Grafaiai is described as a Pokémon that uses its poison-coated fingers to mark its territory and weaken its enemies. Its moderate size and relatively light weight allow it to be mobile and effective in battle, particularly in solo encounters and certain wild encounters across Paldea.
Evolution and Obtaining
Grafaiai is the evolution of Shroodle. Evolution is triggered by leveling up, which makes it straightforward for players who want to quickly add a Pokémon with Poison typing to their team. It is available in the wild in several areas of Pokémon Violet, with a reasonable encounter rate once Shroodle has been caught and trained.

Base Stats and Battle Profile
Grafaiai's stats are oriented toward Speed, progressive damage, and battle control. Its base HP of around 63 allows it to last a few turns, while its Defense and Special Defense remain average. It compensates with effective toxic attacks and moves capable of quickly poisoning targets.

Main Moves and Abilities
Grafaiai's main strength lies in its Poison moves and status-inflicting abilities. It naturally learns moves such as Poison Jab, Acid Spray, or Mud Bomb, ideal for dealing consistent damage and lowering the opponent's Defense. As it levels up, it expands its arsenal with moves suited to tactical combat.
Through TMs, Grafaiai can access a variety of moves that improve its versatility. This makes it a strong pick for catching opponents off guard, especially in battles where Poison-type weaknesses can be exploited.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Grafaiai has useful advantages against Grass and Fairy-type Pokémon thanks to its Poison typing. It excels in battles where status conditions are important and where turns accumulate in its favor. However, it remains vulnerable to Ground and Psychic types, which can quickly end a fight if it enters poorly prepared.

Strategic Usage and Collectible Cards
Strategically, Grafaiai is often used as an offensive support Pokémon. It enters battle to poison, lower Defense, and set up for another team member. Its nature and EVs can be oriented toward Speed or HP depending on the play style.
On the card side, Grafaiai is appreciated for its distinctive design and its toxic attacks. Cards typically highlight its Poison moves and its connection to Shroodle, making them interesting for collectors and for certain status-oriented decks.
