Overview of Paldean Tauros Blaze Breed

Paldean Tauros is a regional form of the original Bull Pokémon from the first generation (#0128 in the national Pokédex). There are three distinct breeds for this Paldean form: the Combat Breed, the Blaze Breed, and the Aqua Breed. Each has a different secondary typing and its own appearance.

The Blaze Breed is recognizable by its curved and pointed horns, which can reach extreme temperatures. The fur on its neck stands upward and is adorned with red spots. Its three tails are braided, unlike the propeller shape formed by those of the Aqua Breed. This breed is the lightest of the three, weighing 85.0 kg and standing 1.4 m tall. It is composed exclusively of male individuals.

Type and Pokédex number

Paldean Tauros Blaze Breed carries the number #0128 in the national Pokédex. Its dual Fighting / Fire typing gives it a particular offensive profile, distinct from the other two breeds. It has no evolution and is not the evolution of any other Pokémon.

Available Abilities

Paldean Tauros Blaze Breed has three Abilities:

• Intimidate - Upon entering the field, lowers the opposing Pokémon's Attack by one stage.

• Anger Point - If the Pokémon receives a critical hit, its Attack rises to the maximum in one go.

• Cud Chew (hidden Ability) - When the Pokémon eats a Berry, it regurgitates it on the following turn and eats it again.

Moves specific to the Blaze Breed

This breed learns several moves tied to its Fire type, which sets it apart from the other Paldean Tauros breeds. It learns Flame Charge at level 15, a Fire-type move with 50 power. It then learns Flare Blitz at level 55, a Fire-type move with 120 power. It shares moves with the other breeds, such as Double Kick, Raging Bull, Close Combat, and Zen Headbutt.

Raging Bull is a signature move shared with the original Tauros. It is an attack of Normal type with 90 power, learned at level 35.

The 3 forms of Paldean Tauros

The three breeds of Paldean Tauros are distinguished by their secondary type and appearance. The Combat Breed is pure Fighting type, the Blaze Breed is Fighting and Fire type, and the Aqua Breed is Fighting and Water type. The Blaze Breed is exclusively available in Pokémon Scarlet in West Province (Area Two), as well as in 5 and 6-star Tera Raid Battles in that version.
