General overview of Mega Tatsugiri

In this Mega form, several Tatsugiri specimens appear simultaneously. Three bodies are visible and are arranged on a sort of multicolored platter reminiscent of the Mega Evolution symbol. The central specimen always corresponds to the original form of the Pokémon. Elements resembling salmon roe also appear on its head. The different bodies are separated by a barrier emanating from the platter, which gives this form a very distinctive appearance.

Like the base Pokémon, Mega Tatsugiri has three different forms. There is the Curly Form, the Droopy Form, and the Stretchy Form. Each form influences the Pokémon's overall appearance and also certain attitudes observed in battle. This mechanic makes this Pokémon particularly interesting for players who analyze the available forms in the Pokédex.

Stats and characteristics of Mega Tatsugiri

The base stats of Mega Tatsugiri show an offensive profile oriented toward special attacks. The Pokémon has a balanced total that allows it to be used as a fast special attacker in various types of battle.

  • HP: 68

  • Attack: 65

  • Defense: 90

  • Special Attack: 135

  • Special Defense: 125

  • Speed: 92

Thanks to its dual Dragon and Water typing, this Pokémon has a very interesting move pool. It can notably use moves like Water Pulse or various Dragon-type attacks. Its high Special Attack allows it to deal solid damage to the opposing target, especially when optimized with EVs in Special Attack and Speed.

In competitive battles, Mega Tatsugiri's solid Speed allows it to act before many opponents. Its HP remains relatively modest but its Defense and Special Defense provide a degree of bulk when it takes damage.

Forms of Mega Tatsugiri

Mega Tatsugiri has three main forms that correspond to the forms already present in the base Pokémon. Each of them is visible in the Pokédex and slightly alters the overall appearance of the trio.

Curly Form

In this form, the Pokémon adopts a curved posture and appears more expressive. According to the Pokédex entry in Legends: Pokémon Z-A, Mega Evolution stimulates its brain and strengthens its strategic mind. In battle, it can create and control copies of itself to confuse the opponent.

Droopy Form

The Droopy Form presents a more relaxed demeanor but remains extremely dangerous. The energy from Mega Evolution solidifies into spheres that it launches at its target. These projectiles explode upon contact with the enemy, causing significant damage.

Stretchy Form

In the Stretchy Form, Mega Tatsugiri appears more rigid and focused. The energy from Mega Evolution creates a platter that serves as its means of transport. Thanks to this structure, it can move freely through the air during battle.

Strategic use in battle

With its Water and Dragon typing, Mega Tatsugiri can be used as a special attacker in various strategies. Its high Special Attack and balanced stats allow it to launch powerful moves while retaining a degree of bulk against opponents' attacks.

Players can invest EVs in Special Attack and Speed to optimize its offensive potential. Moves like Water Pulse or Dragon-type attacks can be used to exploit its typing and maximize the damage dealt. Its ability to change form also adds an interesting tactical dimension when analyzing battles.

In the games where this Mega Evolution is available, Mega Tatsugiri holds a special place in the Pokédex thanks to its three forms and its unique concept based on several bodies united together. Its spectacular form and its stats make it a remarkable Pokémon for players interested in Mega Evolution mechanics and strategies based on special attacks.
