In the Pokédex, Mega Falinks is described as the supreme battle formation that only commanders and their perfectly synchronized subordinates can adopt. Appearance and battle formation

When Falinks Mega Evolves, its six members no longer march in a line as before. They group together and form a single body resembling a humanoid. The commander becomes the head of the body, while two of the troopers serve as arms and two others become the legs. The last trooper forms the torso and supports the commander.

The trooper that represents the torso now has two small arms on which the commander can rest. Its eyes are also narrowed, giving it a different expression from the other members. In this form, the individual shields that Falinks's members once carried almost entirely disappear.

Only one member retains a shield. The left arm bears a large shield on its head that protects the entire formation during battle. The right arm, meanwhile, develops a blade from the spike on its head, allowing it to strike opponents directly.

The commander also changes in appearance. Its spike grows longer and two blue dots appear around its eyes. This transformation underscores its central role in the formation and symbolizes the increase in the Pokémon's power after Mega Evolution.
