Appearance and physique

The Mega form of Excadrill strongly modifies its body. Its claws become longer and sharper, while the metallic protrusion on its head divides into three parts. Once assembled, these structures form an enormous drill capable of digging through earth, mud, or rock with great efficiency.

The drills on its head take on an orange tint in addition to the usual steel grey. At the tips of the claws and the drill appears an iron point that accentuates its dangerous aspect. Its body becomes more massive and stockier, with an iron plate visible on its belly and shoulders.

Its face is squarer than Excadrill's and its red whiskers are less imposing. Its pink snout is also more elongated and white rings appear under its eyes. There is no difference between male and female individuals of this species.

The evolutionary line of this Pokémon begins with Drilbur, a small Ground type Pokémon specialized in digging. Starting at level 31, Drilbur evolves into Excadrill, a much more powerful fighter equipped with metallic claws and a drill-shaped head.

When it holds an Excadrillite during a battle, Excadrill can reach its Mega Excadrill form. This evolution considerably reinforces its base stats, particularly its Attack and Speed, making it a very dangerous Pokémon in many strategic situations.
