Detailed information

General overview of Mega Dragalge

In its Mega form, Dragalge gains increased power along with improved base stats. Players who use this Pokémon appreciate its ability to poison opponents and deal progressive damage in battle. Thanks to its dual Poison and Dragon typing, it has interesting resistances against several attack types, making it a Pokémon capable of staying on the field for a long time.

Mega Dragalge is therefore a particularly useful temporary evolution for combined defensive and offensive strategies. Its battle style often relies on the use of special moves, poisoning, and controlling the pace of battle.

Physique of Mega Dragalge

The Mega Evolution dramatically changes Dragalge's appearance. This Pokémon's body becomes more imposing and its purple seaweed takes on the appearance of a long flowing mane. Its red crest develops further and two green seaweed strands appear on this crest. These structures resemble antennae bearing pink and purple scales.

Its fins also become longer and more slender, which reinforces its aquatic and serpentine appearance. The tip of its tail is more tapered, accentuating its sea dragon aspect. Overall, Mega Dragalge has a more elegant yet more intimidating silhouette in Pokémon battles.

In official Pokédex artwork and imagery, this form is often depicted as a creature floating in the water, surrounded by seaweed and toxic particles. This fits well with its role as a Pokémon capable of poisoning and controlling its environment.

Male and female differences

Unlike some Pokémon that have visual variations between sexes, Mega Dragalge shows no difference between male and female individuals. Both have exactly the same appearance, the same form, and the same visual characteristics.

This absence of distinction applies to both the standard and Mega versions. For Pokémon players and collectors, this means the male and female forms of Dragalge remain identical in the Pokédex and in official representations.

Evolution and Pokémon family

Mega Dragalge belongs to the Skrelp evolutionary family. This evolutionary line comprises several stages that allow players to progressively evolve their Pokémon.

  • Skrelp evolves into Dragalge starting at level 48

  • Dragalge can then Mega Evolve into Mega Dragalge through the Dragalgite

The Mega Evolution temporarily transforms the Pokémon during battle. It increases its base stats and boosts its effectiveness in certain strategies based on poison and special moves.

Pokédex descriptions

In the Pokédex descriptions associated with Legends: Z-A, Mega Dragalge is described as a Pokémon capable of spitting an extremely toxic substance. This liquid disrupts the cellular regeneration capacity of its opponents.

This toxic substance is dangerous to most living beings, but has no effect on Mega Dragalge itself. This characteristic perfectly matches its Poison type and its role in Pokémon battles, where it can progressively weaken opponents through its moves and special capabilities.
